A UK mono vinyl pressing of The Beatles fourth studio album ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ that has been boldly autographed on reverse by the group in black ballpoint pen.
The signatures were obtained by a graphic designer who worked at Granada television studios, Manchester, England on either 1st or 2nd November 1965 whilst The Beatles were recording the programme ‘The Music Of Lennon & McCartney’.
The 50 minute show was considered to be the biggest and most spectacular event that the company had made to date and it would air in the UK on 16th December 1965.
It was conceived by Granada producer Johnny Hamp, and directed by Philip Casson to showcase the song writing talents of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, appearing on the show were The Beatles, Cilla Black, Peter and Gordon, Lulu, Henry Mancini, Esther Phillips, Fritz Spiegl, Billy J. Kramer And The Dakotas, Alan Haven, Marianne Faithfull, The George Martin Orchestra, Dick Rivers and Peter Sellers with each artist group covering a Beatles song.
The Beatles themselves performed three numbers, ‘Yesterday’, ‘Day Tripper’ and ‘We Can Work It Out’.
